Meet Elizabeth
Her Story
When we first met Elizabeth, she hadn’t eaten. We sat together over lunch, and as she opened up, it became clear—she wasn’t just surviving, she was holding on with everything she had left. For two years, Elizabeth has lived on the streets. Her body is worn, her mind is tired, and her voice is slow. But her heart? Still full of hope.
Elizabeth is still legally married, but has been separated for over a decade. Her husband struggles with addiction, and her children, who live in Mexico, don’t even know she’s homeless.
Despite everything, Elizabeth continues to show up every day—with grace, gratitude, and quiet strength.
